Adams Promotion of Kash Patel's Book Boosted Sales by 800%
New York City Mayor's Office

Sales for Kash Patel's book "Government Gangsters" saw a massive increase following an unexpected endorsement from New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

During a press conference on April 2nd, held shortly after a corruption case against him was dismissed, Mayor Adams prominently displayed a copy of the book. He urged attendees and viewers to "read it and understand how we can never allow this to happen to another innocent American," a sentiment he repeated several times over the following days.

Kash Patel, recently appointed as FBI Director by former President Donald Trump, has been highly critical of alleged corruption within the Department of Justice, a view Mayor Adams echoed during his remarks.

Patel's book details his perspective on a "Deep State" conspiracy involving government officials who, he claims, worked to undermine Trump and continue to manipulate the system.

The impact of the mayor's promotion was significant. According to sales data from Circana BookScan reported by The New York Times, sales of "Government Gangsters" jumped nearly 800% in the following week, rising from 228 copies to 2,019.

This data strongly suggests that Mayor Adams' impromptu endorsements directly fueled the substantial surge in the book's sales.
