Pro-Cuomo PAC 'Fix the City' Releases First $44,000 Ad

Fix the City, a political action committee supporting Andrew Cuomo's bid for mayor, has launched its first advertisement of the Democratic Primary season.
The PAC has significant financial backing, reporting $4.1 million raised in its latest filing. Much of this funding arrived in large contributions of over $100,000 each.
This financial support comes as Andrew Cuomo is widely considered the frontrunner in the mayoral race, with most polls indicating he holds a substantial lead over other contenders.
The production cost for this initial digital ad appears to be around $44,000. Campaign finance records show Fix the City made a single expenditure for that amount to a company named Allegory LLC, listed for a "Digital Ad."
In the advertisement, Cuomo confidently states he can "turn this city around." The ad emphasizes his track record, highlighting infrastructure projects, leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, laws against gun violence, protections for abortion rights, and his history of standing up to former President Donald Trump.
It also includes a testimonial from a citizen who says, "He was a great Governor! Now he's going to be a great mayor." Looking forward, Cuomo promises in the ad to put more police officers on the subways, increase the availability of affordable housing, and get the city "back on track."
